Who We Are and What This Policy Covers

This Privacy Policy applies to the Android application "Job Search & AI Resume Maker" (package name com.freeresumeai.app), also known in-app as FreeResume AI, developed and published on Google Play by HADevs ("we", "our", or "us").

We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the app.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide

  • Account Information: Email address, name, and password if you create an account (accounts are optional)
  • Resume Data: Professional information you enter or import, such as work experience, education, skills, and contact details
  • Imported Files: Resume files (PDF, Word, or photos) you choose to import so the app can read them
  • Job Search Queries: Job titles, keywords, and locations you search for in the job board

Automatically Collected Information

  • Device Information: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers
  • Usage Data: Features used, in-app events, and time spent in the app
  • Crash Reports: Diagnostic information when the app crashes or encounters an error

How We Use Your Information

  • Providing and maintaining the resume building and job search service
  • Creating and managing your account, and syncing your data across devices
  • Powering AI features: importing and parsing your resume, generating summaries and bullet points, scoring your resume, tailoring it to job postings, and writing cover letters
  • Showing job listings that match your searches
  • Improving the app and fixing crashes and errors

AI Processing of Your Content

When you use an AI feature, the content needed for that feature — such as the text of your resume, an imported resume file, a job description you paste, or a description you write about yourself — is sent securely to our AI service provider OpenRouter, which routes it to large-language-model providers (such as Google, OpenAI, or DeepSeek) to generate the result.

  • Your content is used only to produce the AI result you requested
  • We do not sell your resume content, and we do not use it for advertising
  • AI features run only when you tap them — nothing is sent to AI providers in the background

Third-Party Services

  • Google AdMob: Displays advertisements in the free version. Google Privacy Policy
  • Supabase: User authentication, cloud storage, and our own usage analytics. Supabase Privacy Policy

  • Sentry: Crash and error reporting so we can fix problems. Sentry Privacy Policy
  • Job Listing Providers: Job search results are retrieved from public job boards (The Muse, Remotive, Jobicy). Your search terms are sent to these services to return matching openings.
  • Google Play Billing: Handles Pro purchases. We never see your payment card details.

Data Storage

Your resume data is stored on your device by default. If you create an account, your data is also stored in our cloud database (Supabase) so it can sync across your devices.

Job Alerts (Optional)

If you turn on job alerts, we store a saved search on our server (Cloudflare) so we can notify you about new roles while the app is closed. This saved search contains only: the job title you are looking for, an optional city or region, an industry category, a short list of skill keywords, your app language, and your device's anonymous push-notification token.

It does not contain your name, contact details, employers, dates, or any other resume content. Your resume itself never leaves your device for this feature.

Turning job alerts off deletes the saved search from our server immediately. Job alerts are entirely optional and the app works fully without them.

Your Rights

  • Access: Request a copy of your personal data
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your account and data
  • Export: Download your resume data as PDF, Word, or plain text at any time

Children's Privacy

Our app is not intended for children under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
